I love to shoot at new venues so it was great to get my first taste of Whatton House and Gardens Wedding Photography. Arlene and Dave booked me way ahead of the whole COVID outbreak so their wedding was a long time coming. After changes of dates and a change of venue, we finally got there… and it was incredible! They had an outdoor ceremony in the beautiful gardens and a tipi for everyone to go inside for the wedding breakfast. The weather was great, the people were awesome… what a wedding!

Whatton House
Whatton House is an ideal location for a wedding. Set in the heart of Leicestershire, this historic home is enveloped by rolling parkland and its beautiful 15 acre gardens which provide a perfect setting. Within the depths of the beautiful English gardens is a stunning tipi, perfect for hosting your wedding breakfast and evening party!
Tipi Wedding
I do love a tipi wedding! With all the twinkly lights, the long rustic trestle tables, candles, they create such a magical atmosphere. Tipis are the perfect alternative to a fancy hotel or country house. They’re not always the easiest to photograph but using a few lights the photos will look incredible!
Outdoor Wedding Venue
I have to say, I love an outdoor wedding ceremony! There’s something so nice about being outside in the fresh air and the whole atmosphere seems more relaxed and fun. The natural daylight light also brings more opportunities for beautiful photos so it’s win win really!
