I always enjoy looking back at the work I’ve produced over the past year, although picking my favourites is never easy as there are so many moments from each wedding that I love! Either because I have an emotional attachment to the image or that I love it more from a technical framing and lighting point of view… or preferably both!
Making it harder for myself, I’ve decided to do a 25 from 2025 so only 25 images from all of the thousands and thousands I delivered to couples last year. So, these aren’t necessarily the best photos (very subjective) I took, just my personal favourites!
It’s interesting to see how few posed images I picked out. When looking at wedding photos, I’m definitely drawn to real moments over the set up photos. Whilst I love taking portraits, on a wedding day it just doesn’t seem right to take the couple away from their friends and family for too long. I’d missing all the documentary gold!
It might sound a bit clichéd but looking back at the photos I’ve taken, I’m always reminded of what an absolute privilege it is to be asked to document such important days in people’s lives. Days full of such joy and emotion. After 10 years of photographing weddings, the passion burns stronger than ever to capture authentic moments and memories for every couple who book me!
