The Barns at Lodge Farm in Epping, Essex was the venue for Tamsin and Terry’s epic wedding. The venue was amazing and if that wasn’t enough, they also had a funfair in the evening! This was my first Essex wedding and if this was a taste of things to come, I’d love to shoot more!
Wedding Photography in Essex
I started the day with Tamsin, her family and her bridesmaids at her house in Bishops Stortford. Everyone seemed in high spirits and buzzing for the day ahead – plenty of smiles and laughter throughout. I stayed until Tamsin was ready and then headed off to The Barns at Lodge Farm.
Barn Wedding
The ceremony was held in The Granary, an old timber frame barn. It was such a beautiful place for a wedding ceremony with fairy lights all around and additional light coming in through gaps in the timber wall panels. Afterwards we headed outside for some confetti shots outside the barn – I just loved the excitement and happiness on Tamsin and Terry’s faces as they walked through the tunnel of confetti!
We then went straight into the family and friends group shots so everyone could just relax and enjoy the rest of the day. Oh, and we made time a few couple shots with Tamsin and Terry before they headed inside for the wedding breakfast. The wedding breakfast was in The Grain Store – a huge industrial barn, decorated with a mixture of fairy lights and festoon lights inside. The speeches were great and the light spilling in from the windows at the entrance to the barn was perfect.
Wedding Funfair
With the speeches over it was time for the party to get started! Guests gradually made their way around to The Field where the funfair was set up. They had inflatable slides, a bucking bronco, a bungee run, dodgems and a light-up inflatable nightclub tent! It was great fun shooting everyone enjoying the rides and throwing some shapes on the dance floor – a great festival atmosphere.
