Katie & Tom’s Summer Wedding

Alex Bradbury you spectacular human! Our wedding photographs were even better than we could have ever expected!

I was back in Warwickshire at the lovely Wethele Manor, just outside Leamington Spa, for Katie and Tom’s summer wedding. Neither of them wanted to spend the day posing for a camera, they just wanted the fun and atmosphere of the day captured… with a few family shots and couple shots thrown in there.

Church Ceremony

I didn’t cover the getting ready stage so I went straight to St Michael’s Church in Weston-Under-Wetherley – a perfect place for their ceremony as it’s just a few hundred meters down the road from Wethele Manor! It was a beautiful sunny day and their guests seemed to be in good spirits when arriving.

Wethele Manor Reception

After the ceremony, their guests walked back down the road to Wethele Manor whilst I stayed behind with the bride and groom for a couple of quick photos. I then rushed on ahead so I was at Wethele for when Katie and Tom were greeted with confetti. The drinks reception was so relaxed with people having a few drinks, playing cricket, a little bit of croquet and generally just enjoying the day!

After some delicious food it was time for me to capture lots of people laughing away during the speeches. I love shooting the speeches as it’s a great opportunity to get natural photos of people having a great time.

Summer Light

We made the most of the beautiful evening light to capture some photos of Katie and Tom before it was time for the evening party to kick off with the cake cutting and first dance. After shooting a few moves on the dance floor, we finished the day with an evening shot of the happy couple under the fairy light covered pagoda.
