Sian and Sean’s wedding saw me heading across to South Wales to Fairyhill in the heart of the Gower. With a beautiful venue and a beautiful couple, what could go wrong… well the rain tried it’s best but failed to ruin their day – everyone just partied on inside!
I made my way over to Loughor near Swansea the night before the wedding. I had arranged to stay over with a friend so I could get to Sian’s parents house in Gorseinon, where Sian was getting ready, nice and early in the morning.
It was busy with Sian, her five bridesmaids, her three flower girls and Sian’s parents all getting ready at the house. A typically chaotic but fun morning of hair styling and makeup! Meanwhile my second shooter, Noemi, was with Sean and the boys getting ready at his parents’ house in Gowerton. It was pretty lively there with Sean and his eight rugby playing groomsmen parading around in their budgy smugglers!
They had a lovely ceremony at St Catherine’s Church in Gorseinon just down the road from Sian’s parents’ house before heading off to Fairyhill for their reception. The rain continued to fall as the drinks and laughter continued inside. There were some great speeches with the highlight for me being Sian’s dad’s song he sang and played on his ukulele – the whole room seemed to be laughing in unison!
After the speeches, Sian decided she wanted to brave the rain and have some photos outside – It’s always great when a bride is prepared to brave the rain!
Then it was time for the first dance followed by a father and daughter dance before the party really got started! We stayed to shoot some moves on the dance floor before leaving them to enjoy the rest of their night.
