Shustoke Barn Wedding Photography

Capturing Shustoke Barn Wedding Photography for couples is such a pleasure. Since I first photographed a wedding at the venue in 2015 it’s been one of my favourite wedding venues! Shustoke Barn is a 18th century red-brick barn located in the North Warwickshire countryside. It’s been beautifully restored to keep it’s rustic charm but also has modern comforts such as underfloor heating. With all the fairy lights and candles everywhere as well as the large glass doors, it’s a prefect venue for photography.

Rustic Barn Wedding Venue

There’s a wow factor about Shustoke Barn that hits you as soon as you arrive. It’s huge wooden framed glass doors at the entrance lets in so much lovely daylight and then as you enter the main room it’s atmospherically lit up by candles and fairy lights with more natural light flowing in through the side doors onto the courtyard. All the walls are exposed red brickwork and the flooring is stone tiled. The bar is just off to the other side of the entrance hall and has stairs leading up to another room and a balcony looking over the entrance hall. The room upstairs can be used as a quiet space for those who wan to take break from the party downstairs. The courtyard, a great place for your drinks reception, is filled with large olive trees with benches around them and is surrounded by two sides of the barn itself.

Wedding Photography at Shustoke Barn

With a venue like Shustoke Barn, it makes photography so much easier. Posing people all day isn’t my style but for the more posed family photos or those lovely couple photos, there are so many opportunities. The fields and the building itself are great in the daylight and then at nigh time there’s the tree lined walkway lit up by festoon lights. Then, for the more natural documentary moments, everywhere you point the camera the backdrop looks great. It’s always exciting to be booked to photograph a wedding at Shustoke Barn.

There are many options for amazing wedding venues in my home county of Warwickshire. There are some incredible barn venues such as Shustoke Barn, country houses and plenty of countryside and fields around to hire and place either a marquee or tipi in. Warwickshire is also an ideal location if couples have family coming from all over the country as it’s so central. It’s great part of the country to get married!
