Jess & Dudley – Cider Mill Barns

The photos are absolutely stunning and we are delighted with them!

Jess & Dudley

Jess and Dudley’s wedding was the first wedding I’ve photographed at the wonderful Cider Mill Barns, near Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire. It’s a newly converted barn venue on the border of Warwickshire and the Cotswolds with a well thought out layout that’s perfect for weddings!

Now, a great venue doesn’t make a great wedding, it’s all about the people. This is where Jess and Dudley come in. From the moment I met them, I could see they were both such lovely people and come rain or shine their wedding day would be awesome… luckily the sun came out to play and stayed out all day!

I started the day at Jess’ family home in Norton Lindsey for the bride prep. It was the obvious place for Jess and her bridesmaids to get ready as it’s just down the road from the Holy Trinity church where their ceremony was held. It’s a lovely little village church which had plenty of room outside for their wedding car – Dudley’s classic Mini that he’d done up himself. To continue the classic car theme, they also had a friend’s BMW 2002 for the bridesmaids. They both looked awesome!

After the ceremony everyone headed over to Cider Mill Barns for the wedding reception. Drinks and canapes were handed out whilst Jess’ dad supplied the music by playing his sax! Then after the drinks reception, the wedding breakfast started with the speeches which involved plenty of tears and laughter.

Whenever there’s a sunset I always like to make the most of it with a few evening photos. So we took Jess and Dudley off for a few photos as the sun was setting. Then the evening reception was kicked off with the cutting of the cake and their first dance. Before leaving them to continue the party, we took a couple of night time shots to finish off their photos for the day.
