Jeminie & Anish – Shustoke Barn

Only one word to describe Alex, AMAZING! His photos are magnificent and booking him was the best decision we made for our wedding!

Jeminie & Anish

My first wedding of the year was Jeminie and Anish’s Shustoke Barn wedding. It couldn’t have been a better start to my wedding season either – such a lovely couple who, along with their friends and family, were so chilled out and fun to be around all day. What an amazing bunch!

This was actually their civil ceremony before their bigger Indian wedding in April. If this was anything to go by I’m sure that’ll be another incredible day!

My day started at Jem’s family home in Sutton Coldfield whilst my second shooter, Noemi, joined Anish and the guys at The Belfry. Jem had a relaxed morning having her hair and makeup done by the talented Anika Chauhan and was later joined by her bridesmaids for a drink before leaving for the ceremony.

Shustoke Barn Wedding

The morning had started off with a thick fog but by the time we arrived at Shustoke Barn for the ceremony the sun had started to come out and it was actually a fairly warm winter’s day. Before the ceremony Jem and Anish did a ‘first look’ – the first time I’d shot this but I love something different on a wedding day. They organised the day with plenty of time to get everything done so there was no rush before the ceremony.

The drinks reception started with confetti outside in the courtyard. We then did a few family group shots and a few couple shots before everyone enjoyed drinks and canapés in the sunshine!

Then it was time for their ‘afternoon tea’ wedding breakfast. The table decorations had a Friends (I’ll be there for you!) theme as Jem and Anish LOVE that show. The stationery was designed and created by Jessica Patel and looked so good!

Golden Hour Photos

We took Jem and Anish outside for some golden hour photos before the speeches – my favourite time of day for photos as the light is so soft. It was totally worth it!

After the speeches, everyone headed outside for some fun sparkler photos. Jem and Anish had said before the wedding that they loved my night time photos so we used the beautiful outside lights around the venue to create a few photos after the sparklers. This was followed by their first dance and a few hours of dance floor craziness – it was so much fun!
