Last year I got one of my favourite types of emails, a wedding enquiry saying I had been recommended by a friend. The friend, or friends, were Jo and Dave whose wedding I shot a couple of years ago at Mallory Court just outside Leamington Spa. Harriet was one of Jo’s bridesmaids! So, after meeting up with Harriet and Moritz and having a chat about their wedding plans, they asked me to photograph their wedding at the amazing Hengrave Hall in Bury St Edmunds.
They wanted a pre-wedding shoot and chose Newbold Comyn in Leamington Spa as the location. It’s always nice to have a location that means something to the couple and this is a place where Harriet and Moritz go walking together. As well as that, there’s plenty of scope for photos so it made sense to do the shoot there. We didn’t get too much luck with the weather on the day; it was very grey and overcast but it stayed dry and we did get some brighter spells with a hint of a sunset too!
I hope you enjoy this selection of some of my favourites from the shoot…
