The last weekend of May was the perfect time of year for a wedding and Hannah & Luke had a fun and relaxed day planned with friends and family. Their wedding was held in and around Birmingham starting in Rowley Regis, then moving on to Hagley Golf & Country Club for the reception before moving on to Stourbridge Town Hall for the evening barn dance. It was a lovely warm day, not too hot and with a mixture of sun and cloud but thankfully no rain!
I arrived at Hannah’s parents house in Halesowen early in the morning to capture photos of Hannah and her bridesmaids getting ready before heading to the church so I was there ready for their arrival. It’s always good to experience different things during weddings and this was the first one I have photographed where they had a live band playing songs during the ceremony. The band included friends of the bride and groom so it added a special touch to the day.
The sun came out for the reception as people enjoyed drinks outside before heading inside for the wedding breakfast and the speeches – and they were fantastic speeches! The day then had a lively finale with a barn dance at Stourbridge Town Hall. What a great way to get everyone up dancing!
