Sikh Wedding Photography with Paola and Rav. This wedding was so much fun to photograph. Paola and Rav are both lovely people and their families couldn’t have been any more welcoming and friendly throughout the day. Their Sikh wedding ceremony was held at the Gurdwara Sahib Leamington and Warwick before they moved on to Wethele Manor for their reception. In terms of the weather, it wasn’t exactly perfect summer’s day. However it was a day full of love, good food and a good party at the end… what could be better!
Sikh Wedding Ceremony
It’s always a pleasure to photograph ceremonies from other cultures as it really keeps me on my toes not knowing exactly what’s about to happen next. Of course I’m prepped to know particular parts to look out for but it’s still all new to me and I love that. From wearing a head covering to removing your shoes when entering the Sikh temple, it’s part of the experience.
Gurdwara Sahib Wedding
The Gurdwara Sahib Leamington and Warwick is a stunning Sikh gurdwara located on the border of Leamington Spa and Warwick. It is one of the largest buildings associated with Sikhism in the United Kingdom. I had photographed a wedding ceremony here before but not for a few years so it was great to be back again.
Countryside Reception
Paola and Rav’s wedding reception was held at the beautiful countryside venue, Wethele Manor, just outside Leamington. It’s the perfect venue for a summer wedding, surrounded by fields and gorgeous country gardens, the staff are always friendly and the food is delicious!
